  • MLA Red Meat Ambassador

    FEB 2024

Victoria was successfully chosen as a recipient of the MLA Red Meat Ambassador program in Feb 2024.

It is with immense pride and excitement to be able to stand up and share with the public my heart and voice for our industry as a part of this program and thank MLA for the opportunutiy and skills gained through this experience and the work they continually do for our industry.

As red meat producers, it is important we focus, not just on our day to day running of our businesses but be actively involved in promoting the industry with positive, factual and relevant stories/images/information to consumers.

  • GenAngus 2023

    JUNE 2023

The opportunity of a lifetime is the best way to describe this course and program brought together through the relationship between Angus Australia and Achmea and their drive to support the youth in the beef industry.

A program that push’s you in so many ways to challenge yourself and get you out of your comfort zone and help you realise you can be better, can do better not only for yourself as an individual, but for your family, as a friend and for the beef industry.

Enjoying a good few, long and hard days with like minded peers, creating lifelong relationships and support within the angus breed is the highlight along with focusing on solidifying a focused , achievable and measurable seedstock business platform to drive positive change and improvements for the angus breed and industry.

RCs grazing clinic – a course to delve in further into the principles, of soil management, plant management, livestock management for a healthy long term productive and sustainable enterprise. This is of high importance to ensure we are providing our animals with the environment to match their genetic potential and for long term sustainability for generation’s to come.

Being provided with the opportunity to take part in a soil sampling project. To improve soil health, to look after our soil biology, improve carbon sequencing and reduce environmental degradation from over fertilising with nutrients.

  • Silage and Hay Training and Delivery of Workshops

Very thankful to SCF and Western Beef Association for providing myself with a three day, train the trainer course for helping the beef industry produce better quality silage and hay and gain skills on understanding the different classes of cattle nutrition and matching supplementary feed sources to their requirements for optimum production and efficiency. I enjoyed improving my knowledge in this area, which will have a flow on effect in our cattle business and working along side producers to give them the tools and skills to improve on farm production of supplementary feed and allocating to stock.
